Last month we introduced you to Pastor David Edralin, who attended the Stealth Evangelism training program in September of 2009. The following is his accounting of the dramatic changes that have begun to take place in his church, his family and his own life since completing the course.

Amazing testimony of ongoing Second Generation Training!

My name is David Edralin. I am the Senior Pastor of a 150 member, 32 year old, Baptist church in Cavite. I was so impressed with how Dunamis helped another church in our area by training its pastor, who then trained his own people and led about 200 people in just two hours. So I was naturally so glad that I was able to avail of the training that Dunamis provided for us.

The first thing Dunamis taught me is to be focused in evangelism.  To present the gospel to people in the simplest way possible, not to many diversions, so they won’t become confused and they will be saved.   After they are born again they will have the Holy Spirit to instruct them, then you can disciple them.  We often try to explain to much and loose them before they get born again. This is the very core reason Stealth Evangelism is so effective.

This philosophy has revolutionized our ministry. We did three trainings this last quarter of the year which led a total of over 700 people to Christ. I also raised 14 new evangelists from among our people who completed the training, many of them relatively new Christians and also a good number of very young people. Another 10 of them are up for completion very soon, and another 15 hope to graduate later.

Sophie Ang is a quiet quality control official in a big food company. When she learned how to share the gospel she just kept sharing the gospel in her work even after she completed all her practicums. It became a way of life for her. She shared the gospel to all her acquaintances at work. She normally visited different plants as part of her job and wherever she visited, she would minister to people she led to the Lord there. She was like a pastor of sorts to the employees of their company.

I saw my kids share their faith for the first time. My son CJ, is 11 and he just completed his requirements (20 evangelistic presentations with positive results). My daughter Meg is only 7 but she has personally led about 30 people to give their life to Christ! I couldn't believe it until I saw her myself and saw the people she led to the Lord. Matthew Tate is a shy 11 year old, who kept to himself most of the time. What a sight it is to see him regularly sharing his faith to adults much older than he is. This has now become a Friday and Saturday afternoon hobby for several of our young people.

One of our elders articulated the dramatic change in our mindset when he said, “At the beginning of the year, the whole church aimed to win 100 people for the entire year. Now we realize that that number can be won in one hour.”

I also am grateful for the long term mentoring that Dunamis provided. After our first training, I mentioned our plan to train 75 of our people at one time. Tony Poole, advised me to consider how the fruit of this training (75 x 30) will be followed up (Not to mention the fruit of the 12 first trainees which by that time have not yet completed their requirements). I was advised to focus on the quality of this first batch by seeing to it that they complete their requirements and then protect the quality of the second batch by limiting the number so they can be mentored and monitored more closely. I am so glad that Dunamis is not only concerned that we are fully trained but that we train others well too.

Now we are praying for a bigger place. We have maxed out our 300 square meter lot and are targeting a 500 square meter lot to use. We are also working on our follow-up training and equipping for LIFE Group (cells) leadership. We dream of being a church that makes seeds out of our people to be planted and blossom into church planting movements wherever they go. God has confirmed this vision through the ministry of Dunamis and even pushed us further to accomplish what the Lord has entrusted to us. Developing the Video Training

We are going to start developing the video training program, beginning with our first classes in January. Some great news: we were able to find a one year old, slightly used Sony FX 1 HD video camera; which, when new, was over $4,000. We purchased it for $2,200, which is a bargain here, where electronics actually cost more than they do in the US.  It is a really nice camera. A church partner in Oklahoma bought it for us. Praise God! It won’t be too many more months, with God’s help, and we can have the video training ready for distribution internationally! God really moved over the holidays to get things moving in that direction. We can make a difference in pastor’s lives and their churches all over the world with these materials after the video training CD’s have been developed. These training materials can help your church also, so be praying for us with all your heart as we get this all put together. If you read what Pastor David said, he is one in hundreds that have been infected with God’s evangelism bug. They catch the disease and then start spreading it. It’s multiplication. Because you sow into this, every time someone from Dunamis leads a person to the Lord, you are a part of it! If you want to be a larger part, He will give you the seed to sow (Isa. 55:10) Amen?

We know you all love souls with a passion. We pray right now that your passion will become white hot, and that God will give you more to seed to sow than you’ve ever been able to. It’s time my friends, to lift up our eyes and see that the fields are white all over the earth, that men are thirsting and panting to have a relationship with God. All they need to do is hear the Good News presented in a simple yet profound way just as Jesus did in John 3 verses 3,5,& 7! He made it simple for people to understand and respond to.  Right now we have more than 4,000 alumni that have been trained at Dunamis over the last 7 years. Our second generation soul winners will over take us in numbers this coming year and maybe even double us. So, there is an army of soul winners that has been created through all this training!

We have needs and things are still tight for us every month, but God is good and never fails us. We are believing God for $15,000.00 in addition to our monthly partner giving to help us get the training room set up for videoing, and pay for the new materials that we are developing. Thank you all so much for joining with us in this battle to defeat satan on the battlefield for men’s souls. You are all God’s champions and we are proud to be out here serving God with you. This year promises to be a landmark year in first and second generation training. I can’t wait to see what unfolds!  Believe with us for millions of souls, and that we will start distribution of the Stealth Evangelism Program in other nations before this year is out. Again help us pray for the provision for every good work this year.
