We brought out the table and chairs we had in storage so we can have Thanksgiving in the mission center tomorrow. We had to wait for the weekend because it is not a holiday here. So Sunday is better to celebrate on because the workers are gone, the kids are out of school and friends we have coming have an easier time scheduling it in too. Things are not quite finished, so Krystel and I will still have to cook at Felicity’s  house but we can carry it over and eat in the new dining room. We found this table two years ago at a garage sale. It has two extra leaves so we can extend it for times like this! Happy Thanksgiving to our family and friends! This has been an eventful month. We are so near completion of the construction of our new Dunamis Mission Center here in Manila, Philippines! We are giving you a little preview of what the...

Construction Continues Despite Obstacles We are coming closer to the end of the construction of the new Dunamis International Mission Center here in Manila. Since the fire on February 17th, 2016 we have been in many calamities trying to build the center back. It took 14 months to get the insurance settlement so we could begin the construction. We were sitting there in clothes that had been given to us, they started by telling us that we were covered for things that later on they denied. Folks, when you have gone through such a tragedy and are in a state of pure vulnerability you believe that people would have the compassion to tell...

So so so close to the finish line! Calli, Felicity, and I moved here to Manila in March 2003, and have had a wonderful ministry here all that time. We actually started ministry here in October 1997, 22 years ago.  We had bought the mission center and totally remodeled beginning in July 2008. On February 17th 2016, our mission center caught fire and was completed destroyed. We lost everything we had in the center including all our family heirlooms, pictures, and clothing, all but our night clothes on our backs, in less than an hour.  Worse than that, we lost our daughter Felicity, a 32 year old mother of two! That nearly killed all of us! The fire is still consuming our lives. Every day we spend not in our home and mission center is a day that is stolen or consumed by the fire.  Every day reminds us, now we are so close to the finish line!  Sometimes it’s like I’m...
